Rocko was born on April 1, 1995 which makes him 16 years old. He is a chocolate Labrador Retriever that has been a patient of this hospital since he was a puppy. Rocko’s previous owners were unable to continue to care for him due to inappropriate urination problems. Dr. Feiring adopted Rocko who has become a hospital favorite. Every day Rocko comes to work with Dr. Feiring and makes multiple stops to receive treats from hospital employees. He is amazingly agile for a 16 year old retriever. His eyesight and hearing are not the best but his memory is great. He knows exactly where the treats are kept and which employees are more generous than others. He is one happy dog and that makes us happy too! And we are keeping an eye on his weight – he receives just as many hugs, belly rubs and back scratches as treats and he has not gained weight.
