Dr. Steven Honzelka has accepted a residency position in dentistry and oral surgery with Dr. Dale Kressin, a board certified dentist located in Oshkosh and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His last day was August 19, 2009.

TO MY CLIENTS:
Over the past few years my interest in veterinary dentistry has grown. I have seen the potential for dramatic improvement in a pet’s health and comfort after correcting years of hidden oral disease or pain. Although it was a difficult decision, I have been offered, and accepted, a residency position in dentistry and oral surgery with Dr. Dale Kressin at the Animal Dental Center located in Oshkosh. Additional dental training will take place at the Animal Emergency Center and Specialty Services in Glendale two days each week. This is a unique opportunity in that I will be able to acquire specialized training relatively close to home.
As of August 20, 2009 I will no longer be practicing at Lakeside Animal Hospital. Lakeside has been good to me over the years, almost like a second home. They have been there for me through high school, college, vet school, my wedding, and starting a family. Many of the veterinarians and staff at Lakeside know me better than I know myself. There is not a veterinarian at Lakeside that I would not trust to care for my own pet. I am very confident the doctors and staff will be able to continue to provide excellent service to you and your pet(s) in the future.
I have known some of you for a short time, others for my entire ten years as a veterinarian, and several of you even longer. It has been a real joy to meet and get to know so many of you and your pets. Lakeside, and all of you, supported and helped me strengthen my skills as a veterinarian. It has been an honor to be a part of your world. I look forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of Milwaukee area pets in the future.
