What are the Standards of Accreditation?
The AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) Standards of Accreditation are widely used as benchmarks to measure excellence in veterinary medicine. Our hospital has been successfully evaluated by an outside consultant on over 900 standards that directly correlate to the care we are providing your pet. The standards are the most rigorous published standards in the industry and are periodically reviewed and updated to ensure they remain consistent with changes in veterinary medicine and technology.
Lakeside has been an accredited AAHA member since 1978. Only approximately 17% of the small animal facilities in North American can claim this important merit. Our hospital must meet the Association’s high standards for quality veterinary care. To maintain our accredited status and to make sure we are keeping up with industry updates, we are evaluated every three years.
